What is the Journey Map?
The Journey Map is a living archive of resources to help you discover more in your journey with Jesus.
Who is the Journey Map for?
Followers of Jesus who want to discover more in their relationship with Jesus. The resources are curated with adults in mind, therefore we would recommend this tool for believers who are 16 years and older.
Where do I start on the map?
If you recently asked Jesus in your heart we recommend beginning with the Salvation Land resources and moving into Foundations and then Church Life as you grow in your understanding of the basic tenants of the faith and how to engage in relationship with Jesus and His Bride. For believers who have walked with Jesus for some time, you can start anywhere on the map! But here are 3 questions that may help you know where to start in this season: What is Jesus Saying? What interests me? What is my current need?
What is a land?
A land is an area of your life with potential for more spiritual growth. We have identified 8 lands where we believe every person has the potential for more growth: Salvation, Foundations, Church Life, Life of a Disciple, Home Life, Life on Mission, Leadership Life, and Spiritual Life.
What is a milestone?
A milestone is a marker to be experienced or a truth to be mastered in your journey. You will find 38 milestones on the Journey Map that will guide you into deeper understanding + encounter with Jesus. Each milestone has a list of resources we recommend, but start with the top 3 for each milestone and then click "more" if you want to go deeper.
What is the best way to engage with the Journey Map?
While this tool has been built for individual + group learning, we believe the best way to engage with the map is in community groups. We flourish in community and believe that these resources are best experienced in a group learning environment. There are some depths of revelation that are only unlocked in the context of community. We also recommend sharing Journey Map resources in a missional community contest. Missional communities are groups of people with common interest who have a passion to share the good news of Jesus with others who may not have heard it yet. The Journey map is an excellent discipleship tool for missional groups. Lastly, some people may thrive in their season through one-on-one discipleship. We have experienced Guides available to help walk with you through the Journey Map as you grow spiritually.
